Commission a cartoon portrait for yourself or as a gift. You will receive a digital copy of your artwork, have the option to buy an A4 print and choose whether to have it packaged in a matt black presentation box or mounted and framed. How it works

The whole process takes around 14 days from you placing your order to date of dispatch. Below you can find the step by step process including details on information I need from you so I can get started creating your portrait.

Step One

Contact me via the contact form below, email (caffersart@gmail.com) or any of my social media channels and tell me what you would like (number of people and any objects or custom backgrounds) and I will then send you a quote (price guide further down).

If you're happy to go ahead I will ask you to send me a reference photo to work from and other information (listed below) for me to refer to when creating your portrait. These will be sent to my email address (caffersart@gmail.com) after placing your order. 

What I need from you

Reference photo

I will need a clear reference photo to work from to get the best most accurate portrait that I can. Here are some guidelines for you when searching for the perfect image to send me.

High Resolution - The clearer the image the more detail I can include in the portrait.

No filters - Camera filters such as the 'Beauty Filter' smooths out the skin and distorts the face not giving an accurate representation of the person in the photo.

Additional photos - I may ask for additional reference photos from other angles, this allows me to create depth and get the details right. For example a photo where the person facing head on allows me to clearly see the width and angle of certain features. A side profile photo and 3/4 angles gives me the opportunity to see how big the nose is, whether the chin protrudes or is more set back and if someone has a heavy brow line.

Eye colour - Sometimes this can difficult to see in photos especially if they have particularly narrow eyes so telling me their eye colour can be especially useful.

Payment

Once I have the reference photos and all the information I need I will send you my payment details, payment can be made either through the website, bank transfer or PayPal.

*Full payment is taken upfront.

Step Three

Final Image

Once I have completed your portrait I will contact you via email and send your artwork in both PNG and JPEG formats. If you requested an A4 print they are sent via either Royal Mail First Class (A4 print) or DPD (framed pieces) so they reach you quickly and safely.

£35 - Head and shoulders (per person)

£10+ Customisation (detailed backgrounds and accessories are charged extra depending on the level of detail)

£10 - A4 Print (printed on 260gsm glossy paper) 

£10 - Matt Black Presentation box (luxury archival boxes are a perfect way to present art prints as a gift and also keep the artwork safe if it isn't yet ready to be framed)

MOUNTING & FRAMING

This can really make your artwork stand out and make it an eye-catching addition to your home.
