About me
Hello and welcome to my little corner of the internet, I have no idea how you found yourself here but I'm glad you did. My name is Sarah, I'm 45, and I love drawing colourful and humorous artwork.
I’m a lesbian woman and have been out and proud since 2000CE, my experiences and sometimes inappropriate of humour have inspired me to create artwork based around the themes of sapphic love, feminism, gay pride and the female anatomy.
I created The Women Who Love Women Archive, an ongoing participatory art project where women from around the world submit their names to be drawn into illustrated scenes set in queer spaces. What started as graffiti on the walls of a fictional lesbian bar toilet has grown into a global archive featuring thousands of names from women across multiple countries.
I hurt my back in 2022 so decided to buy a drawing tablet and after a loooong break of about 20+ years, picked back up where I left off. I learnt a lot of my drawing skills in my teenage years but then seemed to get distracted by beer, parties and general day to day adulting. I finally found my passion again but this time with lots of life experiences and Youtube tutorials to help me along. So here we all are, staring at boob and vulva prints drawn by my dry, stubby fingers.
I'm also married to an incredibly vivacious, kind and beautiful woman who makes life very interesting. We've been propping each other up for 18 years and live in a little bungalow that we are slowly but surely renovating. We still have 80's carpet in some rooms and an asbestos garage roof but it's our home and we love it.
Thank you for taking the time to get to know me a little better and if you want to know even more then please feel free to follow me on my socials (scroll to the bottom right to find my links).
Much love
