Welcome to The Big Lesbian Tampon Machine!

The third artwork in the series and this time, we’re still inside the bathroom of the lesbian bar but we're now we’re facing the exit door and to the left sits the tampon machine itself, a glorious metal box providing free lady time objects for all.

The walls around it are covered in graffiti, layered names, declarations of love and messages that felt extremely important at 1:14am. But unlike normal bathroom graffiti, every single name in this artwork belongs to a real woman, real relationship or real connection submitted by women from around the world as part of The Women Who Love Women Archive.

Together, these names form a growing archive of sapphic life, queer community and the slightly emotional ecosystem of the lesbian nightclub bathroom. Which, historically speaking, is one of the few places where you can receive relationship advice, eyeliner compliments and a temporary best friend all within four minutes.

This is the third artwork in the series, continuing the mission of documenting WLW lives and relationships through a familiar, slightly questionable bathroom setting.
