Frequently Asked Questions

I understand you may have some questions regarding your artwork which you may not have found the answers to on other pages. Here I will try and resolve any queries you might have and also give you the opportunity to add a question to the FAQ page if you feel it would be useful for other potential customers.

What if I don't like my portrait?

We work together to create your artwork and I want you to be 100% happy with the finished product. You can find a more detailed explanation of the process on the Commission a Portrait page and full terms and conditions can be found here where I detail what amendments can be made and when.

Can I add custom objects to my portrait?

Yes of course. If you let me know what you need at the beginning I can incorporate it/them in the initial sketching stage. Customisation costs a little more but can really add that special something to your artwork.

I need my artwork in a rush, can you get one to me in a hurry?

Yes I can do commissions on a tight timescale at an additional cost. Just get in touch via email (caffersart@gmail.com) or the contact form (below) and we can discuss timescales and a price.

Can I commission other artwork from you which isn't a caricature?

That would be definite yes. I love to work on alternative projects and you can see samples of my artwork that aren't caricatures here. Just contact me using the form at the bottom of this page or email me (caffersart@gmail.com) with your idea and we can discuss how we can make it a reality.

Are you available to hire for live caricatures at events?

Yes I am, just drop me a message to discuss your needs

What format and size will my digital copy be in?

I will send you a digital image in PNG format which is printable up to A3 size and also a JPEG file which is perfect for social media use.

Do you do framed prints?

Not at this moment in time.

What shipping method do you use?

To get your order to you safe and sound you artwork is sent via Royal Mail First Class Signed for so it gets to you quickly and safely.

Do you do gift shipping?

Absolutely, a lot of the orders that I receive are gifts for birthdays, anniversaries, retirements etc and I understand that sometimes you aren't able to give the gift to them personally. You can order a matt black archival presentation box to be added to your order and also add a personalised message should you wish, which will be placed inside the presentation box for them to find when they open your gift.

Can I buy additional prints later on?

Yes you can, just drop me an email and I will get them sent out along with their presentation boxes (optional) in the post.

How do you create your artwork?

I mainly use Procreate which is a raster based software on my iPad Air 4. I do an initial sketch or two, or three, or four.............. and then when I'm happy with the sketch I move on to the the outline, then colouring and shading. You can see how my caricatures come together by viewing my 30 second process videos.
